"After 5 days in the countryside with the Bedouins we had only one day to explore the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar-.
Nearly half the population lives in Ulaanbaatar where the city overflowing with unbelievable-on sidewalks and roads. There are only two of the city's main roads, an application that does not even take the traffic rules, pledge and bumping up the sidewalk can be expected ... We decided to limit the number of times to express them!
It seems fast developing city with many ongoing construction in the suburbs. Located in the Centre zone ultra modern, with soaring modern buildings around the square, then the elderly more run the streets surrounding it. Just like the roads outside the city sidewalks in dire need of reform, with holes appearing every few metres.
However the city feels good too. We visited the Museum is filled with wooden chess sets of puzzles created local Mongolian carved (Tim – you would have loved it!) and spent the afternoon shopping, store with some supplies for the last leg of our journey the train ... "
