"We came to Istanbul rather tired of our flight and realize we need to arrive early next day (and every day thereafter!) So don't look really about Istanbul. We have used travel agency to organize our tours in Turkish Turkey because it is a big country and not sure how to fit in everything we do at short notice for one week. However we can cheap by using local bus instead of the entire round.
Next day flight 5 hours in local bus from Istanbul to asibit we take you close to Gallipoli. The journey was not without drama. We are ready and waiting at 6: 30 am in the dark to be picked up by a shuttle to take us to the bus station but never made it! When we got to the bus station to catch a bus later was concerned that the ANZAC book our tour by afternoon. That our credit travel agent special tour organized for us since we did not miss out and delay our schedule.
Take many sites galiboi about 6 hours to watch and have enjoyed after a Turkish guide who gave us a lot of information relevant to both sides. Peninsula Tourism is now a National Park, strewn with transfer memorials for the dead from various countries who fought there. We too when ANZAC day and now get about 40,000 people to attend a party!
In the evening Inn we resided in putting on Mel Gibson "Gallipoli" mostly Australian guests sat on the floor watching and discussing what we have learned during the day. "
