Second LP Denise LaSalle "lost", published in weistbond in 1973. Denis has had its first major hit with "trapped in a thing called love" (# 1 R&B, # 13 pop) in 1971, and also with the "run now and say that" (R&B # 3) and this was "a man size job" # 4 Billboard R&B hit in 1972.

Unlike so many other blues vocalists who only reinterpreting material rendered songwriters, is seriously talented poet Denise LaSalle.
